We sure are seeing a lot of red this month! There are the usual suspects surrounding February 14 – in clothes, cards, flowers, and candy – but it goes beyond just Valentine’s Day. All month long, it seems like everyone is wearing red. What’s the deal with the 28 days of crimson clothing?

  • American WearValentine’s Day. Okay, the annual celebration of love is still a major contributor to American’s red-splashed February. But it doesn’t end there!
  • National Wear Red Day. February 6 is National Wear Red Day, an occasion that raises awareness for women’s heart health. 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke each year, and the Go Red For Women campaign is aiming to help women make positive lifestyle changes for better health.
  • American Heart Month. The American Heart Association has also made February American Heart Month, designed to raise awareness about heart issues we can all face. They promote wearing red for the cause.

With custom programs at American Wear, you can join the red movement if you like.
