It looks like 2016 is going to be a cold year! Winter jackets will be a necessity for many shops and offices around the area. It’s important during the winter months to not only protect your workers from the weather, but to also promote your brand through customized winter jackets.
In order to protects your workers from the cold this winter, they must be dressed properly. Here are our tips:
1. Insulation: Wear 3 layers of loose fitted clothing. The first layer should be wool, silk, or synthetic to keep out moisture. The second layer should be wool or synthetic material, because those fabrics can provide insulation even when wet. The final outside layer should have an outer wind and rain protection layer with ventilation so your workers do not get over heated.
2. Protection: A knit mask works great to cover the face and mouth as well as insulated, water-resistant gloves to protect the hands. A hat will keep the entire body warmer by reducing heat that escapes from their head.
3. Footwear: Choose taller boots to provide more insulation and prevent snow from falling in. It is very important to wear water resistant boots, because wet and cold feet can cause several issues such as trench foot. We also suggest choosing boots that have good traction to prevent falls.
